We regret to inform you that due to government restrictions, society recommendations and health concerns, we will not be meeting in person. We do not know the timeline at this point. We will be moving to an online-based professional meeting format, providing PDH’s. We will be using go-to-meeting/webinar to provide continuous service to our chapter. These online meetings will be free for chapter members.

The 90.1 Seminar will be rescheduled due to the current circumstances. Our feedback was that in-person instruction was preferred but there will be an online option as well. We will be announcing the rescheduled seminar shortly, pending speaker coordination.

Thank you for your understanding and stay safe.

Description:

The Debra H. Kennoy Scholarship is intended to encourage female students to pursue studies and seek professions in the heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning industry (HVAC&R). Debbie was known for her exceptional dedication during her 20 year of service to the ASHRAE community. Colleagues within the industry came together to honor and celebrate her legacy through this scholarship. She was a true mentor to new ASHRAE members, especially to female engineers in a heavily male dominated industry, and made them feel welcomed and encouraged their involvement in the society. This scholarship is intended to be awarded to undergraduate students who are studying mechanical engineering, architectural or science & engineering, chemical engineering or other related HVAC&R engineering disciplines that meet the purpose of the Scholarship. While the first opportunity for the scholarship will be given to a female student who has graduated from a high school within the geographic boundaries of the Philadelphia Chapter of ASHRAE and/or attend an institution within these boundaries, all others will also be considered.

The amount of the scholarship award for 2021 will be $1,500.

The deadline to submita an application is April 30, 2021.
